Without getting too preachy, here’s what we found: You all swear a lot. Like a lot. Virtually none of you don’t swear. Swear, swear, swear. Now we’ll admit that our algorithms can be a little overzealous – making false positives like flagging a post for the word bitch when you’re innocently talking about a female dog (but who really uses it like that?) – but you still just all swear way too much. Not many of you go to strip clubs, or you’re at least smart enough not to check in at them. Then again, lots of strip clubs ban cell phone use, so those of you that are checking in are breaking the rules. A shocking number of you are publicly racist / homophobic. 19%?! Seriously, guys?! 19%. Nineteen percent of you have used racist or homophobic words in your posts. What’s even worse is that this number is very conservative since in doing this calculation we only looked for SEVEN of the worst words we could think up. What would your mother say? Hopefully not those words. Get it together, America.
